well, it's trivial to block tor using dnsbl's and both vichan and jschan have support for that, but blocking an admin from issuing a ban for a tor exit node is a rather niche use case...
>And let me guess, it's in Germany?
netherlands, but yeah again a very node dense country as you've mentioned
>This is however really unlikely as Tor has a fairly advanced consensus mechanism, and on top of that there are other proof of concepts that would theoretically cost far less than that while only going for a specific person of interest rather than shooting down newbs in mass in the hopes of getting a good one.
i think the tor network was actually affected by a sybil attack at one point, and i believe some countermeasures have been deployed since then but not sure about the technicalities
>Thanks! But some had the ban reason marked as "spambot" or something similar so it'd most likely happen again.
ok, that might be because i actually have range bans in place which might have caught the range the tor node is on
the frustrating part is they are just noted down as a single ip rather than cidr notation or something, so i have no idea how wide these are, i've removed a couple that matched blocks of /24 for now
anyway, that sounds really scary, i was under the impression that as long as you keep your head down and do not speak out publicly against things you'll mostly be left alone, but i guess things have changed since the war started, i'm guessing emigrating is not an option for you
unfortunately public liberties in the west are also being slowly eroded, mostly under the pretense of "protecting the children", the latest one being the eu wide "chat control" law, which while ultimately neutered, is just a taste of things to come i feel
