The only thing that's coming is a reckless replacement of people in jobs with AI without any consideration of the consequences, if allowed to continue - millions more will be out of work and on the streets.
Someone would have to foot the bill for that UBI and it won't be rich, if it would be them then they'd have no qualms lifting people out of poverty right at this very moment, but all we see is a continued hoarding of wealth by an ever increasingly smaller number of people. No one's offering any concrete solutions to this problems and that's what's most worrying. It's only a wild ass bumrush to save on employment costs through AI, that's all they care about it seems.
Working a job sucks, but I don't want to know what a world without any possibility of improving your livelihood looks like. So knowing this, from my perspective, the only sensible solution left is to fight to make sure they can't replace you
