The problem with Block Universe Theory:
The problem with Block Universe Theory is that it views the universe from the same perspective as the centuries-old Growing Block Theory.
Essentially in Block Universe Theory the universe is an eternal 4D object. The past, present and future co-exist, joined in 4D space.
Our consciousness follows the path of increasing entropy through 4D space. Our 3D minds perceive this as time.
Whenever scientists mention that the fourth dimension is time they refer to it as a "temporal dimension".
This is nonsense, there is no such thing as a temporal dimension. Time is a spacial dimension and you don't just go forwards and backwards in space: You can also travel tangentially in space. forwards, backwards, up, down, left, right.
This is where quantum uncertainty comes into play.
We don't just travel in a straight line through the fourth time dimension. The path our consciousness takes wiggles from side to side through quantum uncertainty, all positions of the electron exist and have always existed in the 4D block universe with outcomes all joined right next to each other.
When we observe the electron our mind travels into that position in 4D space, that "alternate universe", welded in 4D space with the past and future.
Essentially the universe is a 4D object. Imagine our universe welded with infinite granularity to itself in the past and also with alternate presents with all electrons in 3D spheres that branch out in a 4D cone shape into the future.
A theoretical five dimensional entity could not only move forwards and backwards in time but also "left" and "right", traveling a far enough distance they could enter a 3D area where enough the uncertainty has stacked up and branched out in a way, for example; instead of choosing calamari for dinner you went with the lasagna instead.
