It was a good episode. I liked the running gag of clip art pterodactyls randomly killing ponies. Also Apple Bottoms parents are based.

This is one of literally like 3-5 jokes the entire episode which land (gummi worms joke, running joke about not being able to read, pterodactyls, maaaybe some of the violence, maaaaaaaaybe arinos being a fag) and it comes at the price of not having twilight in a stallion episode which is a crying shame because autism!twilight is best twilight. Though that's almost always mane 6 mare continuity eps anyway.

tbh I'm pretty much entirely bought into the theory that it's two people doing it because this shit is so ass and not in a funny way
the lack of continuity unironically hurts stallion episodes like a lot like repeating the same plot points over and over is unironically bad

tho legit only big mac and apple bottom are ever interesting out of the fags and the best part of their eps are always just the canon characters who are almost entirely absent from this sode

I've legit just deleted all the stallion eps from my computer cos unlike the others it's not like a rewatch them and I have zero (0) saved screencaps from them

I really hope we get a chrysalis episode soon
flawless and trixie stuff is pretty samey even if it has a coherent and moving plot but cadence and chrysalis are literally always great

The stallion episodes are a mess with convoluted plots and too many characters. Honestly they should be isolated storylines instead being the jumbled mess that we currently have.

I agree with almost all of this but clean sweep is a nonstarter. He's got most of the problems with Friendship in terms of being essentially a gimmick OC that doesn't actually tie their gimmick into the plot or have a character outside of the gimmick. He deserved to be a one&done like parcel core should have. Like what even is his character

Arinos is okay as a pure gag character in the background, like he was in real housewives. Friendship doesn't work in the same way because he's both an angstmachine and not a pony.

They keep fucking walking it back. Fucking alicorn of death literally walks it back THE SCENE before the credits roll. If alicorn of death had ended with leaving them both as alicorns and the characters were retired from active plotlines of that sort then we'd be fine.

Having him be a token british character for real housewives was a funny joke and he was used well there but he hardly appears in that episode which sort of says it all.

Ah yeah. The ending gag with the slushee machine was probably the best part of Alicorn of Death and that's definitely the best full movie the stallions got. I couldn't put my finger on if I didn't like Soarin or didn't like Braeburn but it's that pairing specifically that doesn't work because there's no unforced comedy there. It's why Big Mac is a good influence because big mac & braeburn is uninteresting but big mac & soarin is interesting.

Granny smith is overused as an antagonist and they need to stop repeating that. "Mudponies get guns" isn't that interesting, that's the show, it's bardonic is magic that's like a foundational setting point. It's not a plotline.

They could unironically do a "the apple family is in crisis because every member of the current generation other than applejack is openly homosexual" plotline and mix it with the fact that two of them are also alicorns.

Having apple bottom's parents abuse him as the opening of the episode go on for so long is retarded when they've got absolutely no reason not to still be afraid of Care Package. Especially since rainbow dash did the same joke as the birthday party thing with her own dad like a month ago.

Dash too. Wingboner is one of the better shots in a stallions episode. The actual pony is a model pegasus, so all his actual connections are to pegasi.
