I tried making friends with one zoomer autist weeb who was very visibly displeased and cynical with me for not knowing every one of his favorite anime or anime game franchise so when you factor in the lack of sociability and lack of being a likeable person in general, prospects can seem even more bleak to meet a fellow weeb you'll actually want to interact with
But don't take my word for it, that was a one-off attempt and may have to do more with the local culture I'm surrounded by. I will say it threw me off from wanting to interact with a weeb ever again, and it's been hard to shake that feeling off ever since lol
