from what i know the sharty specifically can be held up to severe accountability if a considerable amount of CSAM gets through due to some laws that surround it, the pending approval only works because they have dozens of willing jannies that can clean it up without severely slowing down the board. for us, as ugly as it sounds, CSAM isn't that big of a threat other than the users who see it getting disgusted by it, in the worst case scenario you and other squishers can block images from automatically loading and checking for the body of the post before opening the image
